Good governance means a board that is interested, curious in the larger goals of the organization and comfortable in a marketplace or the world in which the business wishes to make an impact. It also means that the board is able to speak up when they spot problems and is coachable. It’s a clear structure that balances the power. However, it doesn’t always work well.
